Lion dance over water toys with our nerves

This lion dance is an eye catching display of athleticism in the traditional arts that will leave you in awe! Not only is the lion dancing on wooden poles barely big enough to hold a single shoe, but also has to perform several jumps, some of which are meters apart. Not to mention this is all being done more than a meter high above the water? Amazing…

No doubt watching this video can be a bit intense. There are no artificial video effects here at play, as the performers are displaying their talents at a new year’s celebration in China. Just how exactly can two people dressed up as a lion really manage to jump as far as a lion.

Just watch and find out, as the lion raises his head to more than two meters high, and makes a jump of almost two meters, you will be left in awe!
