We knew you wanted to go for a swim on your next travel adventure, so here are ten AMAZING pools for you to choose from:
#10 — Embassy Gardens Pool
Picture two ten story apartment buildings whose architectural design was inspired by the 19th-century buildings of New York City. This pool, located in London, is all that and more. The pool stretches the length between two buildings giving the appearance of floating in the air. From 150-feet above ground, you can look straight through the bottom of the 8-inch thick transparent bottom.
#9 — Rooftop Pool
With a gorgeous view of the sea just off the coast of Marbella, Spain, this Infinity pool sits on the rooftop next to an outdoor seating area. You can enjoy a view of either looking into the building it is connected to (they can view you, too!) or look on the horizon and take in the Sierra Bianca Mountain Range. The glass-bottom pool weighs a mere view 66 tons.
#8 — Mirage House Infinity Pool
This is the biggest pool of its kind. Located in Greece, there are unbelievable panoramic views of Aegean Sea. The house below mimics its natural surroundings and is somewhat secluded. There is one outdoor living area facing the sea, however, for when you dry off and relax.
#7 — InterContinental Dubai Pool
Have in mid-air from 4-stories above the ground! Located at the InterContinental Hotel at Festival City in Dubai, you can use gravity and swim near the clouds. The glass walls allow you a heart-stopping view of the Dubai skyline. Or, look below through the transparent bottom of the pool.
#6 — The Hemeroscopium House
In Madrid, Spain, this pool is made of concrete beams suspended in midair. Its long, narrow shape gives the impression somewhat of a highway overpass. The concrete top weighs 20 tons and acts as the center of gravity. You’d think it would take months to create such a thing, but the pool was built in only seven days!
#5 — Las Lomas Suspended Balcony and Swimming Pool
75 miles south of Lima, Peru, this pool gives you a full 180-degree view of the Pacific Ocean as well as a dazzling panoramic beach view. Using long beams typically made for building bridges, the end of the pool is transparent and faces the sea. This pool located in Playa Las Lomas del Mar.
#4 — Cantilevered Lap Pool
Located near Austin, Texas, this pool has clear sides and is suspended above Lake Austin. The exclusive lap pool extends 20 feet from the house and descends to a cliff. If you want your own, buy two! This pool only cost nearly $3 million. It’s currently the only pool of its kind.
#3 — Infinity Pool in Bali
Looking for a private honeymoon escape? Look no further than the Ubud Hanging Gardens Hotel in Bali. This is a multi-level pool that, when first designed, was inspired by the natural charm that surrounds it. Located in the rice fields of Ubud, there are 38 private pools purposely coordinated to blend with the surrounding setting.
#2 — Hanging Pool at the Joule Hotel
Cool, cool, and even more cool! Ten stories above ground are high enough to get a view the busy Main Street below. Located in Dallas, Texas at the Joule Hotel, the pool eight feet over the edge of the hotel making it appear as if it could tip over at any second. Don’t worry, it won’t, but is that cool or what?!
#1 — Casa Vale Do Lobo’s Suspended Pool
Let’s all levitate! This modern pool is located at Casa Vale Do Lobo at a golf resort in Southern Portugal. Using a space of 6450 square feet the pool was specifically designed to suspend directly over the courtyard. The water flows into the reflecting pool below and is perfect for a relaxing and calm dip. When you visit, be sure to visit the indoor pool which gives the deception of being filling up the lower outdoor pool.
