Delta IV rocket successfully launches from Cape Canaveral

United Launch Alliance (ULA) successfully launched a military communications satellite for the United States Air Force on Saturday night (March 18).

Sitting atop a Delta IV rocket, the Wideband Global Satcom spacecraft (WGS-9) blasted off from Cape Canaveral, Florida, at 2018 EDT.

Liftoff occurred after a slight delay due to technical difficulties on the swing arm, ULA said in a tweet.
