Little Sun Light Swarm, a series of lights designed by Danish-Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson, change color as you pass by it. The material he used is dichromatic glass, it reflects color, shifting the color you see according to the angle you look at it.
The 33 lamps are designed for Copenhagen’s Tivoli, which is one of the oldest amusement parks in the world. The geometric design features two identical bronze frame with a tetrahedral core. Dichromatic glass panels and polished stainless steel mirrors are set into the frames, with the lights being illuminated from within by LEDs.
Income from the project will go to Little Sun’s work in remote areas Africa where there are no electricity. The organization will work to bring solar energy these communities.
