British tech company valued at $1 billion

A British tech company got a $1 billion valuation.

They received the surprising grade after a round of funding where they raised $502 million. The company, Improbable, does cloud-based digital simulations. Its technology can be used in video games, infrastructure design, and to route self-driving cars.

Improbable received the funding from Japan’s SoftBank. SoftBank bought Britain’s largest tech company, ARM, last year.
