This Is Probably the Longest Pizza Ever Made

This is one record-breaking pizza. Instagram user GCViviani was among those who captured evidence of this 1.8 kilometer-long pizza (about 1.1 miles) made in Naples, Italy. The video footage shows a seemingly endless display of pizza topped with tomatoes, cheese, and basil. As the videographer moves along the table, you can see the scenic background outside: the coastal waters of southern Italy.

Naples is, of course, the birthplace of pizza. The original style features a soft, pillowy dough that gets baked in an extremely hot wood-fired oven for a short period of time. Over the years, Neapolitan pizza has evolved into different iterations, especially after large numbers of Naples residents emigrated to the United States and beyond.
