Judge, Actor, Pastor Arrested in Florida Sting

By Epoch Newsroom

A pastor, judge, and an actor were arrested in a prostitution sting at a Florida hotel, according to reports.

They were among six men who were arrested at a Naples hotel on Feb. 9 when they inadvertently made contact with an undercover officer through a cellphone and arranged to pay her $150 to $300, USA Today reported.

Broadway actor Patrick Boll, former pastor Richard Cecil, and Lee County Circuit Judge Jay Rosman were arrested. Rosman was charged with resisting arrest as well.

Boll was performing in the “The King & I” production at the time of his arrest. He also starred in “Gossip Girl,” “The Good Wife,” as well as a few movies.

Cecil used to be a pastor at The Father’s House in Fort Myers, but he now runs a ministry from home. He visits other churches in other states.

“It’s just shocking that it happens in our neighborhood and that people who you think are good community members are doing this sort of thing,” Cecil’s neighbor, Susan Rugle, told NBC2.

He’s being represented by attorney Landon Miller. “My office will be vigorously defending Mr. Cecil against the allegations,” Miller said, USA Today reported.

Cecil pleaded not guilty to the charges.

On Tuesday, Rosman resigned from his position as circuit judge.

“It has been an honor to serve the community since 1986,” Rosman wrote to Gov. Rick Scott’s office, reported USA Today. “In my retirement, I look forward to spending more time with my family and continuing to contribute to the community.”

Rosman pleaded not guilty.

Boll’s arraignment is slated for March 7.

William Darmoh, 29, Howard Cornibe, 60, and Peter Bradshaw, 70, were also arrested as part of the sting.
