Golden Potato Shrimp Balls


For the shrimp:

2 cup raw shrimps
1/2 teaspoon salt, for seasoning
1/4 teaspoon pepper, for seasoning
1 tablespoon ginger, finely chopped
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup corn starch

Other Ingredients:

1/2 cup Mayonnaise
3 cup oil, for frying


1. Finely chop the potatoes to thin slices

2. Dip the potato slices into cold water

3. Peel off the shrimp skin and devine; finely chopped the shrimps into shrimp paste

4. In a large bow, pour in the shrimp paste, add salt, pepper, ginger, and water; combine all the ingredients until finely mixed

5. Add in corn starch with the shrimp mixture

6. In a deep pan with cooking oil, fry the potato slices until the outside is golden brown; remove from the pan and let it cool down on the paper towel.

7. Heat the oil between 350ºF to 375ºF (180ºC to 190ºC), then fry the shrimp ball until the outside is golden brown.

8. Remove the shrimp ball from the pan and coat it with mayonnaise

9. Dip the ball into the crispy fried potato slices; coat it thoroughly
