Singer Justin Timberlake stopped mid-concert on April 2 in Michigan to help a fan announce her pregnancy to her family.
Darcell Baxtresser was sitting in the Detroit concert near the front and holding a sign saying “Will you help me announce my pregnancy?” shouting Timberlake’s name.
Timberlake can be seen on footage recorded by another fan approaching the woman and taking the sign before walking back to the stage.
Asking for Baxtresser’s name, Timberlake then announces that “This is Darcell right here” and holds up the sign while the woman and her friends scream in delight, reported Reuters.
“I gotta stop the show for a second. This says, you ready? This is very cool,” the famous performer says. “This says will you help announce my pregnancy to my family?”
Timberlake said that the baby, “Baby Bax,” is due on Nov. 1.
“Congratulations Darcell,” he adds.
A friend said on Facebook that Baxtresser hid the sign inside her shirt all night before revealing it because security guards wanted to take it away from her.
Baxtresser posted footage on the social media website, saying, “This was the most amazing, magical, unforgettable moment I have ever had in my life!!! My first love to announce my pregnancy was crazy!!! A truly special memory I will forever cherish!! Thank you!!”
She told E! News that she’s been a fan of Timberlake since she was a young girl.
“I’ve loved him since I was 6 years old so if I wanted anyone in the world to announce it, it was him,” she said. “I really only expected him to see it and, at best, take a picture with it, but I did not at all expect him to stop the show, literally.”
She said word soon spread around to her family while she was shaking and tearing up.
“As soon as it happened, cousins and friends who were at the show were blowing up my phone, so I figured I had to tell my family right away. I group texted my siblings and parents the video and they were all going nuts. I sent it to my husband and he was just like ‘Oh wow!!'” she added.
Timberlake has one child. His son Silas is almost 3 years old.
The singer said that he’d like to have more kids, though.
“I want to have as many kids as we can if I’m being honest,” he said in January.
