A fugitive from Oklahoma was found this week after 37 years on the run.
U.S. Marshals said that Stephen Michael Paris, who walked away from a minimum security prison when he was 22, was captured in Houston, Texas on Thursday, April 12.
Paris was found working as a senior employee with Bechtel Oil and Gas, going by the name of Stephen Michael Chavez, reported Fox 26.
“He had a very lucrative senior position with Bechtel, a major corporation and it seems he was able to make a life for himself,” said Matthew Elliot with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections.
“But he had this situation from his past he should not have left unaddressed.”
