Watch young Mark Zuckerberg’s nonchalant reaction when he finds out he got into Harvard

This 2006 video of Mark Zuckerberg getting accepted into Harvard went viral on the internet recently, garnering more than 4.4 million views, and over 312,000 reactions in just 19 hours. The social media CEO is set to receive his honorary degree from Harvard University later this month.

This May 25th will mark Harvard University’s 366th commencement, an event that will also see Facebook founder Zuckerberg receive a honorary degree from the prestigious school. To mark the special occasion, Zuckerberg posted a throwback video on his Facebook page, showing the precious moment when he received an email announcing his admittance to the prestigious Harvard University in 2002.

In the video, his dad Edward asked him: “…there is an email from Harvard. Is that correct?”

Wearing a gray t-shirt and pajama bottom, the young Zuckerberg perched on the end of his bunk bed scanning his desktop computer in his home in Dobbs Ferry, New York replied: “Yeah.”

His dad then attempted to zoom-in on his camera in order to capture the blurry grainy computer screen.

Upon closer inspection, young Zuckerberg learned the news, and announced rather nonchalantly, “Yay, I got accepted,” high-fiving his dad.

“Are you serious? Alright! Yeah! Great!” his dad Edward exclaimed excitedly.

As Zuckerberg pumped his clenched fist in victory, his elated dad aimed the camera at his son, and announced his young boy as “one of the newest members of Harvard’s class of 2006.”

“My dad took this video when I got accepted to Harvard. Next week I’m going back for commencement to get my degree,” Zuckerberg shared on the post, which attracted more than 4.4 million views and over 312,000 reactions in just 19 hours.

Zuckerberg majored in computer science and psychology at Harvard, but dropped out of his study during his sophomore year to focus on Facebook in 2004.

Since leaving Harvard, Zuckerberg has built a successful social media empire, and is now one of the youngest billionaires in the world.
