Done on dry Peepal (Ficus religiosa) leaves, this form of art is probably one of the oldest existing arts. Before paper was invented, humanity wrote on leaves and tree bark.
Art on Peepal tree requires lots of patience as one has to soak the leaves in water for days. The water takes away the fleshy material leaving behind a think film on which one can draw.
