Hand-sculpted food miniatures―This artist has a fastidious eye for detail

Tiny things can indeed be appealing, and the hand-sculpted food miniatures crafted by this Singaporean artist are no exception. Whilst her mini food sculptures are inedible, they are a dainty treat for the eyes.

Jocelyn Teo lets us in on how her journey of smallness started: “I chanced upon clay sculpting on one particularly boring day, and my boyfriend and I just decided to buy a box of clay just for fun. The rest’s history as they say,” she said.

Never would she expect that the box of clay she bought with her boyfriend, now her husband, could turn into a success story. Jocelyn now has her own business called Aiclay, where she has taken her craft to the next level, in addition to running workshops in Singapore.

Now that we know how small can lead to big, let’s check out some of these little treats.
