Sometimes the fast-paced buzz of the big city, enshrouds the little things from view. It is thus that this British artist started a street-based photography project to encourage city-dwellers to be more understanding of the people around them.
The self-taught photographer started this project in 2006, and called it the ‘Little People Project.’ “I want people to be able to empathise with the tiny people in my works,” said the 33-year-old.
Here, we see some of Slinkachu’s works below, which he set up with miniature train set characters that he placed and photographed on the street.
#1. Now that’s a big sweeping job
#2. Someone’s got to clean it up
#3. Pressure accompanies low-income families
#4. Alien McNuggets?
#5. Some people make do with less…
#6. A whole new world inside
#7. Bees are larger than life for these figurines
#8. Amidst the great outdoors…and…sober?
