‘Inseparable’ teen sweethearts killed in Manchester attack make final journey together in joint funeral

Teen sweethearts who were killed in the Manchester Arena attack were described as inseparable by family and had a joint funeral together for the final leg of their journey.

Liam Curry, 19, and, Chloe Rutherford, 17, were among the 22 people killed in the attack on May 22. Describing the couple as inseparable, their families held a joint funeral for them on June 15, The Sun reported.

Hundreds of mourners attended the funeral in pink and blue clothes to say goodbye to the young couple. They were given a booklet with words “together forever” and “to celebrate our beautiful Liam and Chloe.”

Flowers in the two hearses spelled out the words “Sis” and “Son Liam.”

Chris Fuller, the Rev Fr, addressed the crowds, “Chloe and Liam were and still are an image of love. Inseparable in life, inseparable in death, inseparable now with the angels of heaven.”

Mark and Lisa, parents of Chloe, and Caroline, mother of Liam, who decided to hold the joint funeral, posted a tribute on Facebook.

“On the night our daughter Chloe died and our son Liam died, their wings were ready but our hearts were not. They were perfect in every way for each other and were meant to be. They were beautiful inside and out to ourselves and our families, and they were inseparable,” they wrote in the post.

“Chloe always described herself as ditzy who Liam adored and would do anything for, including dealing with Chloe’s demands for chocolate. They lived to go to new places together and explore different cities,” the post continued.

Last week, Mark also thanked the public for the support at a concert that was held in honor of the couple. “We didn’t expect anything like what everyone has been doing. The amount of love and support you have shown all of us has been fantastic,” said the grieving father.
