Construction worker caught reading interior-designing book during lunch break on Labor Day

If you’ve got some free time during your lunch break, how do you make use of it? A man in the Philippines spends his time reading a book to upgrade his capability.

A Facebook user, Sarah Grace Regala, saw a construction worker spending his lunch break reading an interior design book on May 1. It was Labor Day, a holiday celebrated in the Philippines.

But the man’s quest for knowledge was so strong that he read the book intently without realizing that Sarah was looking at him and even taking a photo. Sarah then posted the photo on her Facebook page.

“While I treat this day as an ordinary Lay-Bored Day, this man is different. This construction worker, reading an interior design book during lunch time, proves that no one can stop you if you really want to learn and perfect your craft,”  she wrote in her post.

“He may not have a college diploma, an impressive CV or a big amount in his bank account, but this man has a heart and hunger to learn. What’s our excuse then?”

Her inspiring post has garnered 39,000 likes and over 10,000 shares. A user asked if Sarah bought the book for him and another said she is willing to pay for the books.

So many kind hearts in the world! Definitely, there is hope for mankind.
