For adventurous scuba divers deep sea signifies pure love. Here we present the latest scuba diving gear in the market that let you hand-pump air and you are ready for underwater fun in no time!
Scorkl is a mini-scuba device, which is gaining attention of divers around the world. This cute little diving equipment is lightweight, portable, refillable via hand pump and gives you up to 10 minutes underwater.
The Scorkl cylinder is manufactured to the same specifications and manufacturing standards as a normal SCUBA cylinder. While, the high-pressure hand pump can pump to 3,000 psi, filling the Scorkl cylinder with enough air to last up to 10 minutes underwater.
“At 1atm and 3,000psi the Scorkl holds the equivalent of roughly 60 breaths,” the team mentions on the FAQ section of their Kickstarter page.
Not only this, but each Scorkl is fitted with a pressure gauge that tells the divers how much air is left at any time. The hand pump comes with filter that sieves out air moisture and impurities.
The gear can operate up to 20m of depth, but the manufactures make it clear that it is only intended as shallow diving equipment. “We recommend not using below 10m. Non-scuba trained users should not use the Scorkl below 3m.”
Talking about Scorkl diving experience compare to traditional scuba, the team says, “Scorkling is a much more natural diving experience, similar to snorkeling and freediving, than traditional scuba because you don’t have a heavy tank hanging off your back or BCD strapped around your chest.”
The mini scuba device is crowdfunding via the Kickstarter campagin, where you can pre-order a pump, adapter, and Scorkl for around £320.
