This teen got into trouble when her mother found unidentified “pills” in a plastic baggie in her bedroom. The teen got a text from a mad mom, but it only made the daughter burst out with laughter.
One day, 16-year-old Ashley Banks texted her mother, who was at home, asking her if she could get the daughter’s calculator from her bedroom and leave it in the mailbox for a friend to pick up. She told her mother she would be able to find the device in the nightstand drawer. Of course the doting mother was happy to oblige the favor.
However, upon searching her daughter’s room, the mom discovered something that would make any mom’s heart sink: She found a plastic bag containing identified, capsuled pills—apparently drugs of some kind. She immediately texted her daughter back with stern reprisal, demanding that she return home immediately. She was grounded!
The furious mother got nothing but laughter back from her daughter, who texted: “Ahahaha,” along with some laughing emojis, before giving her mom a few more instructions, which revealed a startling surprise.
“They aren’t drugs lol,” Ashley told her mother. “Go put them in water.”
Not knowing what to expect at this point, her mother obliged.
Then, something rather odd, yet somehow pleasantly surprising, took place…
“Nevermind. You don’t have to come home,” her mother responded. The “pills” were in fact just dinosaurs.
The whole drama turned out to be a comical misunderstanding. Lisa and Ashley had a good laugh. “Me and my mom have a really good relationship,” Ashley told TODAY. “I stay out of trouble and my mom knows that.
“That’s why I was so shocked that she thought they were drugs because I am the complete opposite of someone who would do drugs,” said Ashley. “I think at first my mom was just in disbelief that it happened. But now we look at it and laugh.”
Ashley’s hilarious Twitter post was shared more than 43,000 times a week after it was posted online.
