This lonely dog was slowly turning to stone living on the streets, but a kind woman saved her from certain doom!

Living on the streets eventually takes its toll. This abandoned dog lost all the fur on her face—leaving her skin with a stone-like appearance.
Petra, which is Greek for stone, knows the perils of living on the streets all too well. Without a home and love, animals are prone to diseases that could have been prevented or cured. Over time, they become mere shadows of themselves, slinking away, lonely, hurt, and tired.
Thankfully, a kindhearted Greek woman spotted Petra, and noticing her poor state, the woman lovingly took the dog in, patiently treating her wounds to relieve her suffering.
Petra was so emaciated that she looked like she was about to die.
The woman snapped a photo and shared it on Facebook, hoping the right people would notice and help her provide the means needed to help this animal.
Petra, after years of living on the streets, was scared of anyone who approached her.
They were moved to tears but weren’t going to give up that easily, not when they knew they could help the poor animal.
Once Petra was brought in, she was treated for chronic mange.
Petra grew a brand-new coat, but she was still frightened of people.
Time heals all wounds, and as she gained trust in her rescuers, she became a happy dog with a lot of love to give.
