This poor elderly man robbed of all his hard-earned money. Then a kind-hearted man came to his rescue!
Suratman, a 94 year old banana seller, from the province of Jambi, Sumatra Island, earns his keep by peddling his bananas around the city. One day unscrupulous men lured him into their car pretending that they were buying all the bananas he was selling.
But this was not to be so; instead they stole all his earnings and kicked him out of the car.

A passerby by the name of Tommy Reza Chocolatoz saw the distraught Suratman and asked him what happened. As he narrated his ordeal with the thugs. Suratman was crying and said that he saved the money to buy new furniture for the celebrations of the Eid al-fitr festival. The whole time Reza was filming the conversation.
Reza did not waste any time and took to Facebook to post the video of Suratman. Not long after his friends got in touch with him to let him know of their intention of helping out the old man. This started a fund raising campaign to gather money to return what Suratman had lost to the robbers.
Suratman lost a million rupiah, which amounts to approximately $80 dollars. So far Reza has come up with more than 37 million rupiah, and also received a donation from the Mayor in the amount of 5 million rupiah. He also bought the remaining banana stock of Suratman.

Suratman and his wife were so happy and thankful when they received the money collection from Tommy Reza. They got more than what they initially had. The money will definitely go a long way for Suratman and his family.
There is still definitely goodness in this world and kind hearts as well. If each and everyone had compassion and empathy towards others we will be living in a less cruel world.
