This Do-It-Yourself tricolor windmill will take you straight back to your childhood!

Children have the most independent minds. So why not celebrate Independence Day, which is right around the corner, by whipping up something that will instantly transport us to our childhood! A paper windmill in tricolour is perfect for the job!

All you need are a pair of scissors, coloured paper, glue, a pencil, a piece of wire, a straw and a stick

Cut the sheets of paper into triangles like these

Arrange them in this order and glue the sides together

Cut three circles and place the two on each side of the wheel

Paste all the edges of the triangles to one circle

Add the final circle once all the edges are folded

Put the wire through the wheel and add a paper ball to one end, to keep it in place

Pass a piece of straw through the wire for added stability

Tie the stick to the wire and voila! your tri colour pinwheel is ready!
