Growing up, a young boy was raised by his mother. She was hard on him and made him do chores like iron, cook, and take care of himself. While other kids played outside, he helped his mother. For years, he resented her. As a teenager, she even made him get a job and started charging him for rent and food. He didn’t understand why she was so hard on him.
