A candidate running for Illinois attorney general was robbed at gunpoint on Jan. 11, during a campaign photoshoot in Chicago.

Democratic candidate Aaron Goldstein, 42, and several members of his campaign team were approached by three men in their early 20s at Albany Park. One of the men flashed a handgun and made a demand for their camera equipment and other personal belongings, reported the Chicago Tribune, citing police.

Police did not release a description of the suspects and said as of Jan. 11, no one was in custody.

Campaign manager Robert Murphy said that Goldstein was taking promotional campaign photos at the time of the robbery, reported the newspaper.

He confirmed that no one was harmed during the robbery and police assured that the robbery was not a targeted act.

“So, as far as the campaign, we are moving forward,” Murphy told the newspaper.

“Basically, this was a totally a random act of violence in the community. But when it happens to you, of course, you’re shooken up,” he continued.

Goldstein is running for attorney general to replace Lisa Madigan for the Democratic nomination, reported the Chicago Tribune.
