Parents Patrick, 38, and Jocelyn Smart, 25, have taught them well and they will likely ride for the rest of their lives.
According to Sports Medicine Update, even the smaller motocross motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles can exceed 40 miles per hour, while the larger ones can exceed 70 miles per hour.
The magazine notes that young riders have increased over the years, although that has also led to more injuries.
Ways to stay safe while riding include wearing a helmet, gloves, long pants, and a long-sleeved shirt, never riding while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and supervising riders younger than 16.
