Chester Bennington’s wife and sister sat down to talk about the Linkin Park singer’s struggle with mental health.
“When my husband passed he was at his prime, he was at his best. He did not look like someone suicidal. He did not look depressed,” said Talinda Bennington, Chester’s widow.
Bennington committed suicide on July 20, two months after Linkin Park released their seventh album.
“He had struggled with suicide ideation for years, even before we met, and I knew about that. However, when he left us it was completely unexpected,” said Talinda Bennington.
The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline received 14 percent more calls the day Chester Bennington’s suicide was announced.
