An Ohio state trooper in Columbus was captured on video in a magical moment after it had been raining. The officer happened upon two young boys out having fun and just had to join in, himself.
It was at the Ohio State Fair, which is one of the largest state fairs in the United States, and with so much to do and see, the boys, no doubt, had the time of their lives.
After the rain passed, the wet paved streets looked wondrous with shimmering puddles glistening here and there.
The boys naturally saw it as an excuse to extend their day of fun. They jumped into the shallow pools whilst splashing and stomping about exuberantly.
The trooper, suddenly, in a moment of sheer spontaneity, hopped into their game, boots and all—perhaps with a bit of playful tongue-in-cheek in the mix.
Thanks to Charmia Berwanger for sharing this video of a trooper and two children enjoying the Ohio State Fair! She commented "My hats off to this officer. Great Job!"

The boys stopped jumping and looked at him flabbergasted. Why did he jump into their puddle? What on earth was this big man doing?
A woman nearby helped the trooper explain to the boys that he just wanted to jump into the puddle, too, because it looked like such fun.
That broke the ice. From then on out, the boys were all too happy to share their rain puddle with the trooper, who suddenly appeared to be just “one of the boys.”
Meanwhile, a bystander caught the whole episode on video. It was later shared on social media by Charmia Berwanger, who said, “My [hat’s] off to this officer. Great job!”
Another commenter wrote, “It is a relief to see that certain officers have this kindness to show kids that being a part of the legal system has its good days.”
This short clip serves as a sweet reminder that it’s the little things in life that make life wonderful.
