It was a devastating loss for this couple when they lost their two young children in a car accident. Two years later, they were blessed and welcomed two new members to their family.
Gentry and Hadley Eddings, from North Carolina, welcomed two twins, Isaiah Dobbs and Amos Reded, on July 10, and were excited to share the news, the WBTV reported. The boys’ middle names were taken from their older brothers who died two years ago in a car crash.
Hadley announced her pregnancy in January on a Facebook post: “Y’all have held us up in prayer and we are so grateful! Now we ask you to add two more Eddings to your prayers! We are expecting twins this summer!”
The couple lost their 2-year-old son, Dobbs, and newborn baby, Reed, in May 2015. The family was driving home from a wedding when a truck driver became distracted and caused the accident. Dobbs died on the spot and an emergency cesarean section was performed on the eight-months-pregnant Hadley. However, the baby died three days later.
“We cry a lot. We don’t want people to think that we are great and we don’t cry and we are happy, because that is not what it’s like,” Hadley told WRAL. “There is a million emotions. It is just all at once sometimes.”
